Life at Neemli Hillside Collective
Waking up to smog-filled scenes and dealing with respiratory issues from a young age has sadly become the norm in bustling cities like Delhi. Pollution levels have soared to the point where parents keep their children indoors, schools close due to hazardous air quality, and hospitals fill up with people struggling with respiratory issues.
YOU DESERVE TO WAKE UP TO FRESH AIR AND THE BEST VIEWS.
Our 100+ Bigha farm, Neemli Hillside Collective, might be the breath of fresh air Delhiites (and those living in and around the capital) need. Located less than a 90-minute drive from Gurgaon, our agroforestry-based collective is perfect for a life less hurried.
We are creating the collective in a way that allows one to live and thrive alongside nature while fulfilling all everyday lifestyle needs. The collective will house around 40+ like-minded individuals, each owning smaller individual land portions and independent houses, all managed collectively by WeCommunities. We aim to achieve food sufficiency through a blend of regenerative farming and agroforestry, cultivating several exotic and local vegetables, fruits, dairy, poultry, and native trees. We have also partnered with multiple architectural firms specialising in eco-conscious designs to create nature-friendly houses for our members. Edible Routes is working with us to build our farm and earthworks design. We are also working to create a spacious multi-purpose community centre, a communal dining area, guest rooms, and staff housing within the collective.
Fun Fact: Neemli Hillside Collective is situated near the
beautiful Aravalli range and is just 20 minutes away from
the Delhi-Mumbai expressway exit at Firozpur Jhirka.

What are we planning to do at our farm?
At Neemli Hillside Collective, it is our plan to not just grow food but to nurture the land and community in equal measure.
We will be following agroforestry and regenerative farming practices.
Here’s an overview of our planned activities and initiatives for our farm!
Our farm will integrate principles of agroforestry and regenerative practices. We will be growing a variety of vegetables, fruits, dairy, poultry, fodder, timber, and indigenous trees, all managed in a way that nurtures the land and helps it thrive.
We will grow a variety of exotic and local produce without using harmful chemicals.
From fresh local vegetables to exotic fruits and everything in between, our farm will boast a diverse range of produce. We plan to use natural farming practices for this, minimising the use of harmful chemicals. We will also be making value-added goods with extended shelf lives to maximise the utility of what we grow.
Added Fun Fact: We will be preparing full-course meals for our community members with everything that we grow at the collective farm.
Biodiversity conservation and soil health enhancement will remain our top priorities.
Biodiversity is the key to a healthy ecosystem. That’s why we’re all about conserving it, along with keeping our soil healthy and thriving. We will be using strategies like crop rotation, cover cropping, natural pest control methods, and composting to sustain the land.
We want our farms to become a learning hub for sustainable agriculture.
Through workshops, training sessions, and educational programmes, we plan to empower both local communities and visitors to embrace natural agricultural practices and deepen their connection to the land.

We make decisions as a community.
Our collective aims to bring together individuals who wish to escape the chaotic grind of the city and live a lifestyle that reconnects them with nature. For us, community comes first! We operate on a unique collaborative design and operations model. This means that every decision regarding the collective is made with the needs and comforts of each member in mind. We actively encourage all members to contribute their aspirations and goals, be it for a new initiative or a minor adjustment to the design plans. We make it our mission to incorporate these ideas in a way that allows us to thrive alongside the land upon which we are building the collective.
